Professional Fraternity

ambda Sigma Beta, or "The Frat", is a professional fraternity that was organized in 1968 with the support of Kenneth Shouldice, the first president of Lake Superior State University. Lambda Sigma Beta is the oldest fraternity at Lake State, and to date, approx- imately 350 members have been initiated into our ranks. Our alumni have excelled in all areas of business, criminal justice, natural sciences, and engineering, with some going on to hold prestigious positions at Lake State. Due to good relations with our alumni, we are able to put our graduates in contact with past members who will be able to direct them on their career path through experience in their related field. We at Lambda Sigma Beta pride ourselves on upholding good relations with students, faculty, and the community.

long with strong academic performance, we stress brotherhood and commitment to continuing our life long friendships made here. Aside from academics, The Frat offers a wide variety of events throughout the school year. Events include socials with the various sororities, our annual Beach Party, and our annual Bed Push.
